JJ Farmhouse GAP Stay
During your time in Jhib Jhibe you can explore the surrounding countryside, assist at the local school, get your hands a little dirty helping out around the farm, or just relax and take in the world around you. It’s entirely up to you. The idea is that we have a number of activities for you to choose from, and then it’s up to you to decide what you might like to do.
Your home while in the region will be the Jhib Jhibe Farmhouse. This is the ancestral home of World Horizons Nepal Operations Director Balaram Neupane and his extended family. The original farmhouse, like all others in the region constructed of mud brick, was destroyed in the earthquake. So, with some of the remains, as well as a mix of traditional and modern building materials, we are constructing a new farmhouse retreat. The first stage is now complete and includes a solar shower block, biogas toilet block system, and eco friendly kitchen block. What this means is that you can enjoy your surroundings in comfort and security, and know that you are also providing employment in a region where jobs, outside of subsistence based farming, are very difficult to find.
At this stage your accommodation at the Farmhouse will be roomy two person tents. All guests are on a single basis and have their own tent that includes a comfortable sleeping mat and pillow. All you need to bring is a sleeping bag and your personal gear.
Cost Per Person is $3495.00
Our maximum group size is 14. We will however, so you can safely plan your holiday, run this trip even if you happen to end up on your own.
